Formed in 2011, the Alke Quartet is currently at the Royal College of Music on the Junior Fellows Chamber Music Course. Its programme features Haydn's playful Joke Quartet, a sumptuous late-Romantic movement by Webern, and Janacek's passionate representation in music of Tolstoy's famous story.
