The Yehudi Menuhin School Orchestra
Malcolm Singer, Director of Music

Each time these wonderful young musicians visit Banstead, they treat us to memorable music-making, remarkable for its commitment, verve and technical accomplishment.

On this occasion, engaging chamber works by Haydn and Kodály precede two magnificent works for full string orchestra: Elgar's inspired Introduction and Allegro, so evocative of his beloved Malvern Hills, and Dvorák's Serenade, a masterpiece which simply bursts at the seams with gorgeous melodies.
